Taxpayer Appeal Processing App

The ViewAppeal Application is a full featured product with a very small system footprint making it easy to deploy and maintain. The App tracks taxpayer appeals from the point of initial taxpayer contact through every step of the appeal process, including informal appeals, formal appeals or protests, Board appeals and even appeals to the Administrative Law Judge. There are over 30 predefined, but user customizable taxpayer informational letters that cover every detail from appeal receipt to appeal finalization. All letters generated by the App can be automatically archived within the built in document management system, along with any other documents provided by the taxpayer or the Assessor's staff, including voice memos. Multiple tax years are handled with ease, allowing staff to switch between tax years as needed. There is even a built in appointment scheduler and calendar to track and schedule appointments for taxpayers and staff. Taxpayer information can be directly imported from the Assessor's CAMA system, or the App can function as a standalone application. Currently, interfaces are available for Patriot Properties' AssessPro product and Thomson Reuters' (formally Manatron's) GRM product. There are numerous line by line detail and statistical summary reports that cover every aspect from staff workload and throughput, to the geographical distribution of appeals. The data can also be exported to excel spreadsheets if further analysis is required.

Supplemental Tax Notice Processing App

Many times the Assessor's Office has a CAMA system from one vendor while the Auditor/Tax Collector uses another vendor. In this situation there is usually no direct communication or dataflow between the two systems beyond pushing paper from one office to another, which is painstakingly slow and error prone. The ViewSup Application is your solution - this App extracts the indicated supplemental from the Assessor's CAMA system and processes the data so that it can be directly passed to the Auditor/Tax Collector's system. The resulting supplementals can also be printed and/or archived as PDF files for future reference. Currently, interfaces are available for Patriot Properties' AssessPro product and Smith Data's QS/1 Tax Management product.

CAMA System Utility/Bridge Apps

Blue Water Systems provides various "Bridge" or Utility Apps that supplement or enhance existing CAMA Systems or "bridge" the missing gaps (components) in these Systems. There is Rollback app that handles rollbacks with ease and includes the same ability as the ViewSup App to interface between various systems. There is ViewNotice app which allows the viewing and printing of current and historical Change of Assessment (CAS) notices. Another App allows the user to view billing files, while ViewRatio gives the user the ability to preview and review the SC State mandated ratio studies.
